Swirv has always had music at his core.  As a child he began by playing the piano and later moved on to the drums, being influenced by almost everything from classic rock, Motown, the Beatles and much more.  As time passed, Swirv settled in as the drummer of a classic rock jam band that performed in various venues across the Midwest United States.

But that was just the beginning…

Swirv experienced a musical rebirth and shifted his focus to electronic dance music, attributing it to his younger days.  “I used to stay up late and listen to regional house DJ’s and their late night mixes on Chicago radio stations,” Swirv remembers.  “I’ll never forget how that music energized me.”

Knowing of Swirv’s rekindled passion for electronic dance music, a friend recommended ATB’s compilation album “Seven Years.”  From the moment that CD entered his player, Swirv was instantly hooked on the grooves and melodies present in EDM.  Over the course of the next year, he went on his own musical journey finding himself enchanted by tracks from the world’s top DJ/Producers such as ATB, Tiësto, Ferry Corsten and Armin van Buuren.

Swirv began his own quest as a DJ/Producer where many greats have started before him……in a small studio in his bedroom.

“The emotions that one piece of music can evoke is incredibly powerful.  I aim to produce and spin tracks that will trigger those same emotions inside the minds and bodies of music lovers everywhere.”

And he is well on his way.
